Server cleared table quickly with a smile and efficiency Cleared out crab shell plates quickly, restocked utensils, removed old plates if you like crab, prime rib and sashimi, this is the one!!! however - some of the other dishes were meh, I do like the sushi station, was assuming there would be miso soup but there wasn't - it's not a biggie but would've been nice to go with sushi.

Made reservations day of for a party of 5 adults & 4 kids. It was quick and easy to do. The lady on the phone was super helpful and very friendly too. When we arrived, they took us in right away, and the table was ready for us. Once seated we were able to head to the buffet right away. Everything looked so delicious. The sushi was made fresh right in front of you, with the prime rib to next to it. I liked how the prime rib was not too big and not too small. The cut was perfect! Melt in our mouth! My favorite was the crab legs. It was snow crab. So yum! That was the best part of course. My kids loved it too but they were looking for chicken lol. Since we were celebrating a birthday, our waiter came out with a cute little cheesecake that he said was good. We got to sing happy bday to my husband, and they even lit a candle for him. This buffet is pricey, going at $85 for adults. Kids 5 years and younger are free, which was perfect because the littles didn't eat too much. When you self-park, you do get validation for free parking up to 2.5 hours. Anyway, Fridays are kinda hard to find parking because of the fireworks. Valet had to turn us down since the fireworks took up so much parking, so that was a bummer. All in all, I would definitely come here again.

My friend, Donna O., suggested we dine at 100 Sails Restaurant & Bar for their breakfast buffet. I'd been before with my college friend but didn't remember much, so was looking forward to re-trying their buffet! My friend, Dad, and I came to the restaurant in the morning on a weekday. Their breakfast buffet ran from 6:30-10 a.m. when we went, though hours differ depending on the day. The ambiance is peaceful, open, and spacious, and resembles other buffets located inside of a hotel. The view was wonderful overlooking the harbor. Service was full of aloha spirit, friendly, helpful, and always looking out for us! The breakfast buffet was fantastic as it offered traditional American, Japanese, and local fare. The perfect way to taste new foods or enjoy familiarity. It's easy to navigate the buffet area and serving dishes are plenty. I took advantage of the various offerings, especially the meats and omelet station! I would say we all enjoyed our meal but something stood out more than others. I do wish some foods I had were more flavorful. Buffets aren't hard to find on Oahu, 100 Sails is one of them that is a popular choice for locals and tourists. Located inside the Prince Waikiki, parking is validated for 2.5 hours for their garage. Mahalo for taking us, Donna!

Been here a few times. One of a few buffets we have here on this island. Visited here for a birthday gathering, time limit was 2hrs for our party. The usual for a buffet dinner. It was busy during our reservation time which was 5:20pm. Just about dinner time. Like usual, I always have a bit of everything. Most favorite part is the freshly made hand rolls. Always the best! Prime rib and crab legs are always a must. Also has to have drink to celebrate our birthday celebrant of course! The staff were nice and attentive. The food kept running out but they come out quick to replace. I was sad that they didn't have too much options on dessert. I'm not a big fan of bread pudding but my husband definitely loved it!

Been here a few times for the buffet before but never left a review for the Buffet Dinner Menu yet. In general, this place is probably the best dinner buffet in Hawaii. That being said, it doesn't compare to fabulous Las Vegas buffets like the Bacchanal or Wynn. I'm going to temper my review as a buffet grade review because buffets in general are not going to be better than fine dining restaurants although the food here will make most people happy and satisfied. The sashimi and poke are pretty good. The prime rib and porchetta are ok depending on what cut you get. Snow crab is ok but not hot. There is a sushi station that makes hand rolls (temaki). Wish the nori (seaweed) wraps were a bit crispier but at least they weren't soggy. Most desserts were pretty good. The bread pudding is great and so is the chocolate macadamia nut pie. No ice cream or soft serve though. They have a decent wine selection. We had a glass of Merlot and Pinot Noir. They were promoting some specialty wines but we passed on those. The service we received was excellent. Front desk host was friendly and attentive. Our server was very attentive. They provided the crab utensils for cracking and cutting on your table with a plate for discarded shells. The views of the boat harbor and sunset were great. They validated nicely for 2-1/2 hours of parking. Nothing really to complain about 100 Sails buffet except that the $85 per person buffet price could take the wind out your sails. We enjoyed it here and will probably come back.

Note: This review is for the Barley and Vine Experience. See the Hawaii Prince Website for future winemaker dinners and tasting experiences. Fun! 100 Sails executive chef Jeremy Shigekane formerly of M Bistro and a plethora of other well known eateries is allowed to showcases imaginative dishes focusing on locally sourced ingredients paired with a one on one matchup of a locally produced beer and som selected wine. Five courses. Five wines. Five beers. After each course, diners vote with a bottle cap or cork for their preferred pairing. Some dishes work. others less successful. Some pairings are eye opening, others not. The interaction of the chef, som and beer maker with the group, explaining their thought process elevates the experience. The food is the star and on this evening, the beef course truly showcased the talent of the chef. American wagyu paired against a shiso bernaise and a bowl of beef fat rice topped with cremini mushroom duxelles and fennel pollen tor umami, mix the rice up eat it all together, the flavors create something comforting but utterly delicious. Sweetness of the beef is elevated, umami notes add complexity. Inventive. The strength of the experience is also its weakness. You do not need to have much knowledge of beer and epically wine to know what pairs better but because of it, those who LOVE wine will find the selections too ordinary, ie supermarket wine. For $150pp inclusive of service and full self parking validation a very enjoyable, worthwhile experience.
